The Research Expo June 2025 – New Paradigms in Education provided a hybrid platform for emerging researchers to present their work and engage with educational stakeholders across Pakistan.

Policy Dialogues (October 2025)

As part of Durbeen’s completed project under the Data and Research in Education – Research Consortium (DARE-RC), researchers from our institution contributed evidence and insights at high-level policy dialogues. The policy dialogue series held in Peshawar (25 October) and Karachi (28 October) engaged policymakers, education experts, community representatives, and researchers to discuss multilingualism in education and the implications of language policy research for inclusive and equitable education reform in Pakistan.

Symposium — Inclusive & Equitable ELT in Multilingual Pakistan (November 2025)

The Symposium on Inclusive & Equitable ELT in Multilingual Pakistan, organised in collaboration with the Society of Pakistan English Language Teachers (SPELT), provided an opportunity to bring to the fore the voices of teachers from multilingual classrooms while sharing cutting-edge research on stakeholder perspectives from two provinces of Pakistan—Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Online Research Expo 2024

The Online Research Expo 2024 convened researchers, faculty, and students in a virtual setting to disseminate research findings and foster academic dialogue.

Symposium — Equity and Access to Education: Language Policies and Practices (November 2024)

The Symposium on Equity and Access to Education: Language Policies and Practices was organised in collaboration with Durbeen and brought together researchers and practitioners on one platform to discuss issues related to the language of instruction and its impact on multilingual learners.

Teacher Education Conference 2023

The first Teacher Education Conference brought together teacher educators and researchers from across Pakistan, along with colleagues from Durbeen’s collaborating institution, the University of Oxford.

The conference provided a much-needed platform to discuss issues related to teacher and teacher educator quality, educational research, and broader education policy reforms..
