Library

The library supports students and faculty of the B.Ed. (Elementary) and M.Phil. in Education (Teacher Educator Development) programs, offering a rich mix of print and digital resources, modern facilities, and engaging programs that enhance academic and professional growth.

Our mission is to empower our academic community with the knowledge and tools needed to excel in educational and professional pursuits.

The Library provides a variety of spaces to support diverse learning needs:

  • Quiet reading and study zones for focused individual study
  • Group discussion and meeting rooms for collaborative work
  • Computer access and OPAC terminals for catalogue search and digital resources
  • Maker Space for creative hands-on projects
  • Mind Serenity Spot for relaxation and stress relief activities

The library maintains a collection of over 3,800 books designed to meet academic, research, and personal reading needs.

Library Services

Circulation and Borrowing

SITE Library offers borrowing services for library members. Members may borrow books according to established loan periods and renew them when not requested by others.

The circulation desk facilitates borrowing, returns, and renewals, provides information on loan privileges and due dates, and assists with accessing HEC Digital Library resources. Reference materials are for in-library use only.

Reference and Research Assistance

Qualified library staff provides personalized support to help users locate relevant print and digital resources for assignments and research projects.

Guidance is provided on effectively navigating databases, including the HEC Digital Library, research planning, and information evaluation.

Workshops

Orientation sessions are conducted at the start of each academic batch. Information literacy workshops focus on database searching, citation practices, and academic research strategies, enabling students to become confident and independent researchers.

Student Engagement and Creative Programs

The library organizes activities that foster creativity and community engagement:

  • Agents of Change – author visits and discussions
  • Student events and competitions such as Bait Bazi competitions and Kuch Lafz Meri Pasand Kay
  • Gosha-e-Munataq open topic discussion sessions

These initiatives enrich campus life and cultivate a culture of reading and critical thinking among students.

Desktop Access

The library provides desktop computers for academic use, with support available for accessing digital library resources and research tools.
